Membrane principle

The Czech footwear company ZEMAN® is one of the largest manufacturers of special safety and work leather footwear in the Czech Republic. In 1996, it was the first in the Czech Republic to develop and mass-produce safety, work and military footwear with GORE-TEX® and SYMPATEX® membrane linings. The collection is based on footwear for firefighting units and footwear for military special forces.

Currently, the SYMPATEX® and WINDTEX® membranes with DRILEX® lining are mainly used in production. Footwear equipped with a membrane lining is marked in the catalog with an emoticon with a water drop.

Principle of membrane lining:

A completely waterproof membrane laminated between the lining and the upper of the shoe. It is highly flexible, which means it can absorb the pressure on the shoe when walking without any unwanted leakage. The membrane is also extremely breathable - the key to this is the channel system that effectively wicks sweat to the surface. The pores of the membrane do not clog, so breathability does not decrease with use, keeping you dry and comfortable for a long time.

Using shoes with membrane lining:

The excellent insulating properties of the linings with a membrane in combination with the use of hydrophobic (water-repellent) upper leather and a special sole enable the most perfect insulation of the foot from the external environment. The foot remains dry during long-term wear. The footwear is tested on a walking simulator in a water bath for 500,000 cycles. Water must not penetrate the footwear. The footwear is intended for long-term wear in the field, in extreme climatic conditions by rescuers, firefighters, emergency services, intervention units of the army, police, customs administration, transport, construction workers, foresters or hunters...

Guarantee:

  • Shoes with membrane linings are provided with a standard 24-month warranty on waterproofness and breathability for water vapor, when the shoes are cared for according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Note:

  • In our own development center, we are able to create special variants according to the customer's specific needs (soles, applications, winter linings, etc.).

Treatment:

  • Routine maintenance, appearance and water resistance can be improved with Collonil cream and spray (also available from ZEMAN)

Service:

  • Of course, we also carry out warranty and post-warranty repairs.
